Social Media is a significant part of our students’ lives and it has a major impact on their overall functioning and mental health.There has been a significant increase in the amount of time teens spend online and on social media platforms.Participants will gain a better understanding of current trends in social media as well as the correlationbetween social media and mental health.You will be provided with resources and tips for mitigating the negative impact of social media as well as provide students andfamilies with strategies to manage social media use while promoting positive digitalcitizenship among our students.Suitable grades K—12.
