This course is designed to help educators teach relevant, real-world financial literacy skills to middle school students in today’s digital economy.You will explore topics such as budgeting, saving, digital spending, credit, online scams, consumer behavior, careers, ad financial decision-making through the lens of adolescent experiences and social media culture.Using resources from organizations including NGPF, the FTC, the FederalReserve, and Jump$tart, educators will examine practical classroom strategies, culturally responsive instruction, and interdisciplinary connections. Participants will complete the course by developing a standards-aligned financial literacy lesson or mini-unit for middle
school learners.
