Build & Thrill is a hands-on STEM enrichment course where students become amusement park engineers, designing and building attractions through engaging, classroom-based STEM activities. Using roller coasters as a central focus, students explore concepts such as gravity, speed, energy, and motion by creating and testing model coasters, while additional challenges include designing Ferris wheels, spinning rides, and other theme park attractions. Through collaborative design, problem-solving, and real-world engineering challenges, students apply science, math, and critical thinking skills as they imagine, build, and refine their own amusement park ideas.

Join us for an exciting and challenging eight-week Saturday enrichment class combining the worlds of strategy, creativity, and competition! In this class, students will alternate between engaging in intense chess battles and hands-on LEGO building challenges. Through chess, students will sharpen their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and concentration, while LEGO competitions will inspire creativity, teamwork, and engineering design. Each session will feature a balance of learning, practice, and competitive play, allowing students to develop both their minds and imagination. Whether you're a chess enthusiast, a LEGO master, or both, this class will take your skills to the next level!

Are you ready to take your chess skills to the next level? Or are you a beginner ready to learn the game of chess for the first time? Either way, this class is for you! Each chess academy session is structured by starting off with a lesson on chess pieces, strategy, skills, gambits and plays, followed by tournament style games. Students will compete in an in-house competition and no elimination tournament. Students will increase their knowledge of the game and have a great time with their friends!

If your child loves art, origami and cartoons, this class is for them! Each week students will focus on a specific object such as animals, foods, cartoon characters and objects from nature to create both in origami and cartoon form. Students will design objects utilizing various origami techniques and learn cartooning and drawing skills to give these objects character. If your child loves art, this class will surely please them. They will come home each day with several projects completed!

Optional Google Meet will be offered Week 5 to support participant discussion, questions, and real-time collaboration.

This course will introduce you to or help you learn more about a variety of different technology sources. Most of them are completely free or have a free version you can utilize. Upon completion, you will have a portfolio of lessons to be used in the classroom.
