Garden City Summer Academics
Get ready for a week of learning that feels like summer! Designed for students Getting Ready for Kindergarten, Entering First Grade through Sixth Grade, this one-week enrichment program builds reading, writing, and math skills through hands-on activities, games, movement, and creative projects. Students learn using research-based approaches such as the Science of Reading, Writer’s Workshop, and foundational math strategies—but in ways that are active and exciting. Children will rotate through engaging literacy centers, interactive math games, storytelling and writing adventures, and plenty of active play that keeps young learners energized and focused. This program helps prevent the summer slide while building confidence and readiness for the upcoming school year—all in a positive, encouraging environment. Garden City Summer Afternoon Enrichment K-6
SCOPE Enrichment is proudly offering an amazing afternoon summer enrichment program. Families can register weekly for our all inclusive enrichment program. Students will experience three courses each afternoon including 45 minutes of STEM lessons, 45 minutes of fine arts activities, and 45 minutes of physical activities and movement each day. * If students are continuing from morning enrichment, they must bring a bagged lunch. They will be supervised by SCOPE staff during lunch until 12:30 and then begin our amazing lessons and activities. *If your child would like to participate in the afternoon only, they can be dropped off at 12:30pm. -

Throughout the program, budding chefs will create sweet and savory dishes such as mini desserts, creative snacks, and carnival-inspired treats while learning basic cooking techniques, safe kitchen practices, and creative food presentation. With themed activities, collaborative challenges, and taste-testing fun, students build confidence in the kitchen and discover the colorful, playful world of American summer and fair-style cooking. -

In this hands-on afternoon program, students will use real ovens and commercial kitchen equipment to prepare, cook, and present classic and modern American dishes. Participants will build foundational culinary skills including knife safety, baking techniques, roasting, seasoning, timing, plating, and kitchen teamwork. Each session features timed cook-off style challenges inspired by regional American cuisine, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and culinary innovation. The program culminates in a final team cook-off where students showcase their skills in a friendly, high-energy competition. American Mini Warrior is a high-energy summer fun fitness program where students build strength, agility, and confidence through safe, non-contact, boot-camp–style activities. Participants enjoy relay races, obstacle courses, team challenges, and American-themed skill games in a supportive, action-packed environment that promotes teamwork, coordination, and active fun. Program is conducted outdoors and indoors as needed. -
Garden City Summer American Sculpting & Canvas Painting
American Sculpting & Canvas Painting (Grades 7–12) One-Week Summer Intensive Dive into a week of hands-on artistic exploration in American Sculpting & Canvas Painting, designed for middle and high school students with a passion for creativity. This intensive program blends three-dimensional sculpting techniques with expressive painting, allowing students to bring their ideas to life in multiple mediums. Participants will experiment with sculpting materials to create original figures, abstract forms, and thematic art pieces inspired by American culture and contemporary styles. On the painting side, students will explore color theory, composition, and brush techniques as they design vibrant canvases that complement their sculptural creations. Garden City Summer Build & Thrill STEM
Build & Thrill is a hands-on Summer STEM enrichment course where students become amusement park engineers, designing and building attractions through engaging, classroom-based STEM activities. Using roller coasters as a central focus, students explore concepts such as gravity, speed, energy, and motion by creating and testing model coasters, while additional challenges include designing Ferris wheels, spinning rides, and other theme park attractions. Through collaborative design, problem-solving, and real-world engineering challenges, students apply science, math, and critical thinking skills as they imagine, build, and refine their own amusement park ideas. Students entering grades 2-6 will build and launch rockets weekly! -

Crime Scene Escape The Room Challenge Step into the role of a forensic investigator in this high-energy, one-week Crime Scene Escape Room Challenge designed for middle and high school students.
