School is back in session. The Fall season is here. Join us for Sensational Science 1 as we perform some fun “fall” themed science experiments. During this club, our “scientists” will discover the world of chemistry and physics. Students will explore “creepy” chemical reactions, have a “blast” with air pressure, and discover how to create “spooky” sounds with science. -
Smithtown Winter STEAM
Exploration In The Mitten Challenge, young scientists test thermal insulation by designing a mitten for ice cubes to discover which materials keep them frozen the longest. Little architects will build a Sugar Cube Igloo and decorate with icing. Students also create a Winter Snow Globe with a winter scenery with swirling snow.. Finally, budding engineers build Waterproof Rafts from recycled materials to test if their designs can safely transport an Arctic animal across the water. -
Smithtown Sensational Science 2
Winter is here and it’s cold outside, but the science club is heating up. During Sensational Science 2, students will continue to explore the world of science. Students will experiment with the power of magnetism and static electricity. They will discover how different materials react to heat. Additionally, they will use science to discover metal in places they would never expect it. -

Makerspace Bundle up your creativity for a winter full of hands-on fun! In this chilly edition of our STEAM Makerspace, young inventors will explore winter-themed projects. Build your own Snow Volcano, design cool Snowflake Structures , and experiment with icy challenges that spark curiosity and creativity. Whether we're engineering Arctic Animal Dens or designing Snow Dough Sculptures, every activity is designed to inspire problem-solving, teamwork, and tons of frosty fun! -

Springtime is here, so let’s spring into a new set of science experiments with Sensational Science 3. During this club, students will explore biology while studying the human eye and optical illusions. Next, students will use their engineering skills and knowledge of physics to construct mini “bots”. Last, students will see if they can master the “Egg Drop Challenge”. -

CSI- Crime Scene Investigations- Case of the Missing Mascot The school year is coming to an end, but not until our crime is solved: CSI-The Case of the Missing Mascot. During this 4 week club, students will work together to solve a crime. They will learn and use forensic techniques to analyze evidence found at the scene. Good luck detectives!
